The app is free, and the board itself is free to use — any number of teams, player names typed in by hand, CSV export. Joining a league someone invites you to is free — you only pay to draft on your own or to run a league yourself. The first level covers drafting on your own plus browsing and joining public leagues; the second also lets you run your own leagues, up to 10 a season, any size from 2 to 32 teams, with everyone you invite joining free.
Keeping the player list current for each new NFL season is a separate yearly purchase — your first season is included when you buy an unlock. It doesn't auto-renew and nothing is ever charged automatically. If you skip a year you lose nothing you've bought: your drafts, rooms and existing player list all keep working, they just stop picking up new signings.

An account is what you need to draft with your league, to have the same board on more than one device, and to carry the unlock to the web and to any other device — the unlock belongs to your account, not to one phone. Accounts are created in the Elite 8 app on Google Play; sign in with that same Google or email account on the website whenever you want it there too.
Yes. Create a draft room, share the code, and everyone joins from wherever they are. Picks, budgets and bidding stay in sync, and there's a chat panel in the room.
While a league is unlocked, anyone signed in who has the room code can open it — the code is the only thing protecting it, so treat it like a shared secret.
Locking the league closes it: no new players can join, it drops off the public list, and only the people already in it can read or change anything. Lock it as soon as your league is full.
A public NFL roster feed, refreshed about once a day, covering roughly 3,000 active players with positions, teams and bye weeks. If someone's missing — a late signing, a rookie, a team defence — you can add them by hand.
